In all this sewing I was still yet to sew something for my own little boy. Contrary to my original belief, there are lots of great patterns out there for boys clothes and I decided to order the book Sewing for Boys (and Carefree Clothes for Girls) with a voucher I had received.
My little boy is on the slim side so sizing was interesting, I ended up going with the Easy linen shirt that I made in navy and white seersucker (white?? really?? Big mistake probably!) short sleeves.
I made it in the smallest size they had which was size 2-3 so in any case it should last him a while.
I was very happy to use up the chevron scraps from the Double Entendre outfit I made last month.
This was the first time I have done French seams and it was a delightfully simple way to tidy up the inside.
Now, I hope he wears it!
