Death of rose: Day 2

All was quiet this morning, Mummy and son had left early, before the other sun had the chance to light up this small dim room.

Soon enough I was accompanied by a posy of Victorian grown snapdragons, their gummy mouths comically poised to attack, and some powdered sweet-smelling Turkish delight squares.

Eventually the sunlight inspired me to push up from my glass collar, and I stretched open my petals to offer a hint of my centre. A small token of my appreciation…
